The Derby Xtreme Modified Kit boasts an extremely low profile body at only ¼″ thick. This car is made for three wheels and guide peg on the right front. The included tungsten cubes and weight pockets underneath allow you to adjust the center of gravity to less than ¾″ for a lightening fast ride. Great kit for a Pinewood Derby Pro Stock, Outlaw or Modified class. An ideal car for Dad to run in the packs Open Class (check the rules).
The Derby Monkey Xtreme Speed kits are engineered with only one thing in mind… sheer speed. The body design, weight placement, center of mass, alignment and aerodynamics are all optimized for top performance. These kits come with tungsten weights, polished axles and machined wheels of your choice.
Building super-low profile bodies is a trademark of the Derby Monkey Garage. All of the derby cars we build for competition are only ¼″ thick. This thin body creates an extremely aerodynamic car and it allows us to place the majority of the car's weight exactly where we need it in order to optimize the placement of the center of gravity. This means more speed. Our cars consistently finish in first place at our district derbies.
This kit is legal for many Pinewood Derby open or modified events. However, please check your local rules for what cars, kits and components are permitted.
The Derby Monkey Xtreme Speed Series Kits only uses tungsten for weight. Tungsten is much safer and heavier than lead (more dense).
