100% PURE KRYTOX
The Derby Monkey Garage uses 100% pure DuPont Krytox® GPL 100 whenever oil is allowed. This is a premium synthetic thin-film lubricant containing no additives giving it an extremely low viscosity. Krytox GPL 100 will outperform any graphite or any other oil on the market when its applied correctly. Krytox is also much easier and faster to apply than graphite.
Krytox is almost undetectable. When properly applied, Krytox is much cleaner and leaves no trace on the tracks.
This stuff is also perfect for that nice paint job that you worked so hard on. Graphite will stain and ruin a light color paint job but Krytox will not.

Application Instructions
When using Krytox it is important to remember that less is best. Applying too much Krytox will cause the viscosity of the oil to slow the car down.
To apply:
- Place two drops of Krytox on the axle shaft where the wheel will rest.
- Gently turn the axle with your fingers to allow the Krytox to coat the shaft where the wheel will rest.
- Place a wheel onto the axle shaft.
- Spin the wheel a few times and allow to come to a stop.
- Remove the wheel.
- Gently wipe off the excess oil from the axle with a clean soft rag.
- Reinstall the wheel back onto the axle.
- Repeat for the other axles and wheels.
Note: Pinewood
Derby type wheels lubricated with Krytox will not free spin as long as wheels lubricated with graphite. However, the load applied when the car runs on the track will cause Krytox to perform extremely well. The normal free spin time for a Pinewood Derby type wheel lubricated with Krytox is approximately 10 seconds or more. If your wheel runs short of this spin time, remove the axle, wipe it off, and try again.
